Dalia: 1 katori
Garlic: 2 cloves
Onion: 1 finely chopped
Tomato: 1 finely chopped
Beans: 1 cup chopped (optional)
Ghia: 1 cup chopped (optional)
Olive/ rice bran oil: 1 tsp
Sarson (mustard seeds): ½ teaspoon
Salt: to taste
Red pepper: to taste
Turmeric: ¼ teaspoon
Lemon: 1 squeezed
Curry leaves (kadi patta): 5-6 chopped
Wash dalia with water thoroughly and keep it aside.
First sauté garlic in oil, add onion and tomato. Add curry leaves, mustard seeds; when the seeds crackle, add turmeric, red pepper and salt. Now add the chopped vegetables. Now add washed Dalia to this; and add 2 cups of water, after the mixture boils; cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. Or pressure cook for 10 minutes. Squeeze lemon over it and serve hot.
