Chopped mixed vegetables sauté (onion, tomato, capsicum, coriander): 200gms
Cumin powder (jeera): 1 tsp
Olive oil: 1 tsp
Turmeric: ¼ tsp
Red chili powder: ¼ tsp
Amchur powder: ¼ tsp
Salt: to taste
Crumbled paneer: 50gms
Whole wheat roti: 1
In a non stick pan heat oil. Add a teaspoon of cumin powder, turmeric, red chili powder, amchur powder, salt to taste. Mix well and add crumbled paneer. Place the vegetable mixture in roti. Roll the roti and pack in a silver foil.
A good combination of carbohydrates and protein. Keeps you full longer. Ideal for evening snacks and school Tiffin for children. Paneer is a good source of protein and calcium. If taken in moderation is associated with weight loss. Jeera seeds are good source of iron, manganese. This vegetable roll can be taken for breakfast and lunch and evening snack on a paneer day, but as a dinner it should be avoided by people who are watching their weight. Ideal meal for undernourished kids and anemic individuals.
