Dietary recommendations to treat Gall Bladder Stones

The probable dietary causes are:

Biscuits, Corn flour, White rice, Refined foods like maida, sugar, sooji, fried foods, animal foods like butter, ghee, paneer, chicken, red meat, prawns etc. Smoking and alcohol also cause gall bladder stones.

Do’s

      • An alkaline diet that consists of wheat grass juice and alfa- alfa juice
      • Radish juice is helpful
      • Bitter vegetables like Karela are good for dissolving stones
      • All vegetables can be consumed freely.
      • All salads are good to treat gall bladder stones as they contain Hemicellulose which is good to treat this condition.
      • Take normal amounts of salt.
      • Triphala Ayurvedic powder is an effective detox for acidic body.
      • Bael juice and Aloe vera juice is good in summers.
      • Add wheat or oat bran to your flour to make it rich in fibre.
      • Include spinach, sweet potato, sesame seeds, almonds and soy products in your diet.
      • Grapes, water melon and apricots are good.
      • Beet root juice is helpful in dissolving gall bladder stones.
      • Recommended juice: 1 carrot + 1 beetroot + 1 cucumber
      • Water melon helps in dissolving GB stones
      • Apricots are good for GB stones

Don’ts

      • Avoid dairy products and non vegetarian food
      • Cut down tea, coffee and alcohol.
      • Avoid Pickles
