Do’s and Don’ts
- Chew food well and never be in a hurry while eating. Get plenty fibre from- salads and fruits.
- Drink plenty of water. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day.
- Take regular exercise to condition your stomach and back muscles. This will help for bowel movement. Bran is good for proper motions however do not rely on bran as a long term cure.
- Do not suppress the urge to pass stools. Make passing stool a regular habit. Sit in the toilet every day at the same time for about 10 minutes, even if you don’t have an urge to move your bowels. This will take time but it will surely work.
- Avoid regular laxatives.
- Regular yoga helps bowels movements.
