Phalahari kadhai paneer recipe:
Ingredients
Paneer – 500gms (diced)
Tomato – 8 nos (puree), 2 nos (diced)
Cloves – 5 nos
Cinnamon stick – 2
Cumin seeds – 2tbsp
Cardamom – 4 nos
Pepper Corns – 3tbsp
Ginger – 1tbsp (paste)
Green chillies – 3 (sliced)
Ghee – 1tbsp
Salt to taste
Method
1. On a medium flame, place a pan and wait for it to turn hot.
2. Pour in the ghee and when hot, drop in the cloves, cinnamon sticks, cummin seeds, pepper corns and the cardamoms.
3. Saute the ingredients together on a low flame.
4. When done, empty the pan with the ingredients into another bowl.
5. Coarsely grind the fried spices when cool and leave aside.
6. Now in the same pan, drop in a another tablespoon of ghee and let it get hot.
7. Add in the ginger paste to the ghee and the tomato puree as well. Stir the ingredients together and bring it to a slight boil.
8. Now add in the ground spices and a cup of water to the mixture.
9. When the mixture is hot and leaving the sides, drop in the diced paneer and the chopped tomatoes to the mixture.
10.Simmer the stove for 6 minutes and let the paneer cook in the mixture.
11.Drop in the green chillies and salt to taste. Give it a final stir and switch off the flame.
Tip- Paneer is a high protein food having high level of calcium and phosphorus which helps in building strong bones and teeth.
